Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: Widely distributed in New Guinea and locally common. Quite variable in dark pattern. It resembles some species in the genus Synegia but it has a finer punctuate pattern and different shape of the hindwing.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Waigeo Island: Camp Nok; New Guinea: Base Camp (Utakwa River), Mt. Goliath, Mt. Kunupi, Ninay Valley, Setekwa River, Uskwar, Utakwa River, Wandammen Peninsula, Wembi. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
