Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: Widely distributed in the lowlands of New Guinea. A common species. The species shows sexual dimorphism in the colour of the hindwings.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Waigeo Island; Misool Island; Numfor Island: Suer; Roon Island; New Guinea: Affi, Ampas, Anggi Lakes, Base Camp (Utakwa River), Borme, Dotir River (Wandammen), Eilanden River, Etna Bay, Humboldt Bay, Kapaur (Fakfak), Mt. Kunupi, Ninay Valley, Nomnagihé, Pim (Jutefa Bay), Sabron Camp (Cyclops), Uskwar, Wangaar, Wembi, Weyland Mts. Details in gazetteer.
