Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: Widely distributed in the Indo-Australian region, a common species in lowland areas and at moderate altitudes.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Yapen Island: Samber; New Guinea: Abmisibil, Bivak 36 (Star Mts Exp. 1959), Cyclops Camp, Demaisi, Ditschi (Arfak), Mt. Goliath, Ifar, Mt. Kunupi, Landikma, Mokwam, Ninay Valley, Nomnagihé, Oksibil, Omban, Pass Valley, Sabron Camp (Cyclops), Syoubri (Arfak), Upper Setekwa River, Sibil, Sinimburu, Mt. Siwi (Arfak), Timeepa, Utakwa River, Walmak, Wamena, Wandammen Peninsula. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: From North India southeastwards through Indonesia, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Bismarck Archipelago.
