STATUS: Rather common but rather local in New Guinea. Two subspecies have been described but it is very doubtful if this is justified. Both are very similar and there is some variation in the specimens.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Fakfak, Mt. Kunupi, Mokwam, Ninay Valley, Walmak, Wandammen Mts. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
