STATUS: A large, conspicuous but rare species. The species is represented in New Guinea by ssp. majestica.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Keerom, Mt. Lina (Cyclops), Molbakon, Utakwa River, Walmak, Wandammen Mts. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea, Queensland (Australia).
