Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: In Papua less common than the previous species. Widely distributed. Ornithospila psittacina has more straight transverse lines and the white fringes of the hindwing not intruded by red dots, while in O. succincta the transverse lines are bend and with the white fringes of the hindwing intruded with red dots on the veins.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Waigeo Island: Camp Nok; New Guinea: Fakfak, Kouh, Nomnagihé, Utakwa River. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Malaysia, Indonesian Archipelago, Philippines, Papua New Guinea.
