Thalassodes dorsipunctata Warren, 1903


Distribution

 

 

 

 

STATUS: A common species. It is distinguished from other plain Thalassodes species by the dorsal row of white dots on the abdomen and the more scattered irregular white transverse line. It is larger than minor and that species has the transverse line more regular and thinner.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Waigeo Island: Camp Nok; Batanta Island: South coast; New Guinea: Ampas, Dojo, Dotir, Getentiri, Mt. Goliath, Hollandia (Jayapura), Keerom, Kloofbivak, Kouh, Gn. Meja Reserve, Nimbokrang, Ninay Valley, Prafi, Sabron Camp (Cyclops), Senopi, Sentani, Upper Setekwa River, Sinimburu, Sorong, Tandia, Taminaboean, Tuan Wowi, Uskwar, Utakwa River, Werba.
