Note

The species shows a variation comparable with that of other common Oxycanus species. A certain identification is only possible with study of the male genitalia (left figure).


Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: A rather rare species, but probably wider distributed than presently known.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Lake Habbema, Mabilabol, Wasior (Wandammen). Details in gazetteer.
