Variation

 

The species shows a variation comparable with that of other common Oxycanus species. A certain identification is only possible with study of the male genitalia (left figure). The pattern of speckles and silvery spots is somewhat coarser than in other species.


Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: A common species, but restricted to the central part of the Jayawijaya Mountains, West of the Baliem Valley.
