STATUS: Restricted to New Guinea. The species is found at higher altitudes and is quite variable. It is more distributed and abundant than stated by Schintlmeister (2020).

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Abmisibil, Bilogai, Furu Camp, Pass Valley, Walmak, Wondiwoy Mts.. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
