Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: Subspecies balli is endemic in Merauke area. In New Guinea it is probably a relict of the Ice Age Period; the major distribution area of the species is in North and East Australia.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Buti Payum, Ndalir, Rawa Biru, Salor (Merauke area). Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: North and East Australia.
