STATUS: A very common species.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Jef Kassim Island (nr Salawati); Biak Island; New Guinea: Abmisibil, Akimuga, Ampas, Aramsolki, Araucaria Camp, Benyas, Bernhard Camp, Dojo, Dotir (Wandammen), Fakfak, Genyem, Jayapura, Kota Nica, Kouh, Kwerba, Mabilabol (Oksibil, Sibil), Miei (Wandammen), Mokwam, Pass Valley, Perameles Bivak, Prafi, Resi Bivak, Sekroe (Fakfak), Sentani, Sorong, Tami River, Tandia (Wandammen), Taritatu River, Timika, Tjamaroe (Fakfak), Ubrub, Uskwar, Vriendschap River, Walmak, Waris, Warkapi, Wembis, Werba (Fakfak).
