Distribution
STATUS: Rare. It seems to prefer lowlands and moderate altitudes, but it is also found at higher altitudes.
PAPUA LOCALITIES: Waigeo; Yapen Island: Ambaidiru, Natabuy; New Guinea: Abmisibil, Ampas, Gn Bembab (Ransiki), Borme, Camp Hotice (Foja Exp.), Genyem, Humboldt Bay, Foja Mts., Kloofbivak, Kobakma, Mabilabol, Om, Tuan Wowi, Ubrub, Uskwar, Walmak, Warkapi, Yuruf. Details in gazetteer.
EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Aru Islands. No records are known from Papua New Guinea yet but it is to be expected that this species occurs also in the border area near Papua.
