Distribution

 

 

 

 

STATUS: ssp. agagles (red dots) rather rare, in the Arfak Mountains locally abundant; ssp. uniplaga (blue dots) rare in Papua, in Papua New Guinea more abundant.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: ssp. agagles: Waigeo: Offack; New Guinea: Andai, Arfak Mountains, Demaisi, Fakfak, Manokwari, Mokwam, Ninay Valley, Ngat Biep, Timeepa, Wandammen Peninsula. ssp. uniplaga: New Guinea: Genyem, Lelambo, Nipsan, Sentani, Taja, Walmak, Waris. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: ssp. evergista: Central Moluccas on the islands of Ambon, Saparua, Seram, Goram and Buru; ssp. uniplaga: Central and East New Guinea, Fergusson Island and Goodenough Island; ssp. bismarckiana De Vos, 2002: Bismarck Archipelago.
