Aplotelia oetakwa Holloway, 1985

Distribution

STATUS: Probably widely distributed in New Guinea, mainly found in lowland areas. Until todate only known with certainty from Indonesian New Guinea. Similar to tripartita Semper, 1900, but with more sinuous outer transverse line and with less dark contrast along the inner transverse line. Genitalia research may in some cases be necessary to be certain. The species tripartita is much more wider distributed with three subspecies in The Philippines and Sulawesi (ssp. tripartita), the Lesser Sunda Islands East of the Wallace Line (ssp. microsundana Holloway, 1985) and New Guinea (ssp. pratti Bethune-Baker, 1906).
