STATUS: This species shows strong sexual dimorphism. Despite its conspicuous appearance it is not frequently seen.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Misool Island; New Guinea: Eilanden River, Fakfak, Humboldt Bay, Sorong, Lower Utakwa River, Wangaar River. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
