Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: A widely distributed species. In Papua rarely found. Birthana species very much look alike lithosiine moths (Erebidae, Arctiinae) and are often confused with it. The short curved up labial palpae are one of the distinguishing characters.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Humboldt Bay, Setekwa River, Utakwa River. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Sulawesi, Moluccas, Papua New Guinea, Queensland (Australia).
