Distribution

 

 

 

STATUS: A mountain species which is at some localities quite common.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Abmisibil, Arfak Mts., Batimban, Borme, Carstensz Peak (Mt. Jaya), Cyclops Mts., Daela, Dagum, Enarotali, Habbema Lake, Hattam Mts., Ilaga, Irai, Jila, Jiwika, Kamilai, Kanggime, Mt. Kunupi (Menoo Valley), Kuruagi, Kuyawagi, Langda, Makki, Manunggal, Mapia, Meja Reserve (Manokwari), Modio, Oktanglap, Pass Valley, Rime Telyi, Sabin, Sinak, Subyo, Tembagapura, Timeepa, Tiom, Tubeya, Tuguwai, Utakwa, Walmak (Nipsan), Waghi, Welesi. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: New Guinea, Goodenough Island. [On Seram and Bacan (Moluccas) Graphium stresemanni occurs, which has always been treated as a distinct species. Certain is that both weiskei and stresemanni are very closely related]
