Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: An uncommon species represented by two subspecies in Papua. Subspecies starensis extends into Papua New Guinea.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: ssp. carstensziana: Lake Habbema, Homeyo, Ibele, Ilaga, Ilu, Kanggime, Magoda, Mulia, Pass Valley, Tembagapura, Tiom; ssp. starensis: Abmisibil, Batimban, Korupun. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
