Distribution

 

 

 

 

STATUS: Much rarer than the previous species but probably insufficiently recorded and not always well distinguished from the similar hecabe. Certainly more widely distributed than here depicted.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Ratewi Island; Biak Island: Sansundi; New Guinea: Boma, Butiptiri, Kloofbivak, Langda, Pass Valley, Senopi, Sorong. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Indo-Australian region from Taiwan through the Philippines to Sulawesi, Java, the Lesser Sunda Islands, Timor, New Guinea and North Australia.
