Distribution

 

 

 

STATUS: A common species, distributed all over Indo-Australia. Very similar to Theretra tryoni but latreillii is easily distinguished by the even black fringes of the forewings while tryoni has black-and-white checkered fringes.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Biak Island: Base Biak, Korem, Marauw; New Guinea: Ampas, Bernhard Camp, Genyem, Jayapura, Kouh, Manokwari, Mapi (Asmat), Nimbokrang, Ninay Valley (Arfak Mts), Paniai, Sama (Asmat District), Sentani, Sorong, Taja rifi, Tami River, Taritatu River, Tekai, Ubrub, Uskwar, Waena, Wamena, Werba (Fakfak), Windesi. EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: South China, South India, Indo-Australia, East Australia, Solomon Islands, Fiji Islands.
