Distribution

 

 

 

 

STATUS: Widely distributed on New Guinea. Probably the most common Cyphura species.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Misool Island; Waigeo Island; Mioswaar Island; Roon Island; Pulau Hariti; Pulau Ratewi; Yapen: Ambaidiru; New Guinea: Ampas, Benyas, Borme, Camp Walker (Waena), Depapre, Dojo, Eilanden River, Etna Bay, Haya, Ifar, Jayapura, Kapaur (Fakfak), Kloofbivak, Marina Valen, Miei, Ninay Valley, Sentani, Upper Setekwa River, Sibil, Sinimburu, Sorong, Syoubri, Tami River, Tekai (Keerom), Teminaboean, Timika, Uskwar, Utakwa River, Waena, Wandammen Peninsula, Wangaar River.
