Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: A rare species. There is no doubt that Zygaenosia eximia Rothschild, 1936 is conspecific with Z. medialis Gaede, 1925. Both species were described in the other sex. Males have a black and orange abdomen while the female have an orange abdomen.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Ampas, Mt. Goliath, Ifar, Sentani. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
