Distribution

 

 

 

 

STATUS: Arhopala admete was originally described from the Moluccas. The form occurring in Western Papua constantly differs from the nominate race in having no blue tornal scaling on the hindwing and a brown wing underside colour, while the Maluku race has grey undersides. Arhopala admete eucolpis Kirsch, 1877 was raised to species rank (Schröder, 2015). Specimens from Waigeo may represent a separate race.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Moluccas, Papua New Guinea.
