STATUS: An extremely rare species with two subspecies, both of which occur in Papua, Indonesia.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: ssp. dohertyi: New Guinea: Andai, Dorey (Manokwari), Jayapura; ssp. fortis: New Guinea: Mt. Goliath. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
