Rapala suffusa (Moore, 1878)

STATUS: Recently recorded from Sorong in West Papua. The ocurrence of Rapala suffusa is most unusual as no records are known from East of the Philippines and Borneo, leaving completely out the Maluku area. It seems unlikely that collecting localities were mixed up, but more material is needed to confirm its occurrence in Papua. It might well be an introduced species.
