Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: An endemic species in Papua from the Central Mountain Range. The different subspecies follow either northern or southern streams very strictly and have a parasympatric (separated) distribution, which is not clearly defined on the map.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: ssp. rileyi: Kamu, Magoda, Modio, Weyland Mts; ssp. yofona: Lake Habbema, Homeyo, Kanggime, Korupun, Mpenduma, Musatfak, Tembagapura, Tiom, Tuguwai, Welesi; ssp. nishizawai: Ilaga, Ilu, Kembruk, Mulia, Sinak. Details in gazetteer.
