Note the yellow foamy secretion on the thorax, a smelly defense reaction


Distribution

 

 

 

 

STATUS: Widely distributed in New Guinea, New Britain, Moluccas, Aru and Sulawesi.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Waigeo: Offack, Camp Nok; New Guinea: Depapre, Genyem, Mt. Kunupi (Kobowre Mts.), Meja Reserve, Mokwam, Nabire district, Ninay Valley, Nomnagihe, Setekwa River, Utakwa River, Walmak (Nipsan), Warkapi, Wasior. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Moluccas, Aru, Sulawesi, Papua New Guinea (including the Bismarck Archipelago).
