Distribution
STATUS: Very much alike reticulata and laeta, to which it is closely allied, but easily distinguished by the extended red and thicker black transverse lines on the forewing. The species was originally distributed on the Bismarck Archipelago, but must in time have migrated along the northern coast of New Guinea to the west. Not many specimens are yet known in Papua.
