Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: At least six subspecies represent this widely distributed species in Papua. At some localities the subspecies status is not clear. The Arfak population of ssp. levis is also rather peculiar being so widely separated from those in the Central Highlands.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: ssp. ladas: Abmisibil, Batimban, Bime, Borme, Langda, Mabilabol, Walmak; ssp. wamenaensis: Karubaga, Kobakma, Landikma, Pass Valley, Sumbole; ssp. levis: Bilai, Hing (Arfak), Homeyo, Ilu, Jila, Modio, Mokwam (Arfak), Mulia, Sinak, Timeepa; ssp. fakfakensis: Fakfak; ssp. yapenensis: Ambaidiru (Japen Island); ssp. waigeuensis: Waigeu Island; uncertain status: Foja Mountains, Kota (Jayapura). EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
