Distribution
STATUS: Two subspecies occur in Papua which are recently revised in the aroae species. Subspecies yabensis is distributed in the Kobowre Mountains, ssp. aroae is in Papua distributed around the Baliem Valley and in the Star Mountains. Forma brevifascia has the marginal band continued on the hindwings in the female.

Trikora, Waeli, Walmak, Wamena, Welesi, Wolo. Details in gazetteer.
