Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: Widely distributed in New Guinea with about eight recognized subspecies and probably more yet to be described. In Papua New Guinea ssp. eceicei Joicey & Talbot, 1916 (not in Papua) and also ssp. reducta are represented, all others occur in Papua only.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: ssp. enniana: New Guinea: Andai, Arfak Mts., Senopi, Sorong; ssp. contracta: Waigeo Island; ssp. hidehitoi: Salawati Island; ssp. majoripuncta: Numfor Island; ssp. nov.: Japen Island; ssp. obsoleta: Misool Island; ssp. kapaura: New Guinea: Fakfak; ssp. reducta: New Guinea: Akimuga, Timika.
