Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: A widely distributed species in New Guinea with four subspecies. The nomotypical subspecies ligata is found in the Central Mountain Range of PNG but may also occur as West as the Star Mountains in Papua.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: ssp. dealbata: Hing, Irai, Mokwam; ssp. weylandensis: Enarotali, Homeyo, Ilaga, Moanemani, Modio, Timeepa; ssp. interpolata: Lake Habbema, Jiwika, Pass Valley, Sumbole, Tiom, Wamena, Welesi; ssp. ligata?: Abmisibil, Batimban, Borme, Langda, Sumtamon. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
