Distribution

 

 

 

 

 

STATUS: The species has three subspecies in New Guinea of which two are endemic in Papua. The status of ssp. torini should be reconsidered as it seems to be a variation of ssp. leucias. Its distribution is in the wide area of ssp. leucias.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: ssp. torini: Tembagapura; ssp. leucias: Abmisibil, Batimban, Lake Habbema, Ibele Valley, Ilaga, Ilu, Jiwika, Kanggime, Korupun, Langda, Magoda, Moanemani, Mulia, Ninya, Pass Valley, Sinak, Tiom, Walmak, Wamena, Welesi. Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Papua New Guinea.
