STATUS: Widely distributed in Papua but not common.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: Biak: Base Biak, Marauw; New Guinea: Ampas, Asike, Jayapura, Kota Nica (Jayapura), Kouh, Langda, Manokwari, Mokwam, Sentani, Sorong, Ubrub, Walmak (Nipsan). Details in gazetteer.

EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: ssp. placida: Hainan, Indo-Australia, Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Fiji Islands, Northeast Australia, New Zealand.
