STATUS: A common species. Widely distributed in some subspecies.

PAPUA LOCALITIES: ssp. dictaea: Waigeo Island; Batanta Island; Salawati Island; Misool Island. ssp. silo: Supiori Island; Biak Island, Japen Island: Waropen; Mioswaar Island; Roon Island; New Guinea: Duebei (Arfak Mts.), Fakfak, Kloofbivak, Manokwari, Mappi, Merauke, Mimika, Nabire, Sarmi, Sorong, Walmak, Wandammen Peninsula, Warkapi. EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Aru Islands, Papua New Guinea, North Australia.
